Meet Anna Sarjantson, founder of Screensafe
I'm an online safety specialist and a mum of two girls. For years I have run online safety workshops and training in UK schools and with families.
I kept meeting the same three groups. Parents who felt overwhelmed. Teachers without the training they needed. And children growing up online without adults ready to help them.
The support for our children isn't keeping up with what they face every day. I built Screensafe to give schools and families calm, current support all year, not a one-off talk.

Background
- Online safety specialist for primary schools, families and UK organisations
- CEOP Education Ambassador with CEOP Education, part of the National Crime Agency
- School governor at a secondary school in Leeds
- Host of the Screen-Safe Podcast, for parents, carers and teachers
Awareness should lead to action, not anxiety
When adults feel scared, they shut conversations down or approach them in ways which push children away. Screensafe takes the opposite approach.
Child-centred
Content starts with what children do online, the social pressures they feel, and why platforms appeal to them.
Reactive
Content updates through the year, in step with what children use: new apps, AI chatbots, anonymous chats.
Whole-school
Staff, parents and pupils, all supported through one school subscription.
Without judgement
No perfect-parent standard. No expectation for staff to become online safety experts. Support for informed decisions, not a list of rules.
What schools and parents say about Anna
You convey it so incredibly well, the balance of your own experiences, empathy and understanding to parents, but with factual, hard-hitting honesty.
Parents left feeling informed and supported rather than panicked, which is exactly what we needed. The content was current, practical and pitched perfectly for our community.
She is incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, passionate and relatable. I would highly recommend Anna to anyone looking to educate and empower themselves around the many digital issues and challenges children are facing today.
